The Detox Hotel Poecylia situated in the south-west of Sardinia on the island San Pietro is perfect for relaxing holidays in a cosy athmosphere and surrounded by a lush nature. Wonderful ocean views and sunsets!!
The Position
Surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation the charming Hotel-resort Poecylia is located about 200 mt from the sea on the small island of San Pietro in the south-western tipp of Sardinia. The Island of San Pietro is linked to the mainlaind by ferry boats plying between the harbor of Carloforte (San Pietro) and the ones of Calasetta (Sant Antioco) and Portovesme (Sardinia).The coast stretch of San Pietro benefits from stupendous beaches of very white sand alternating with marvellous inlets with coves and very high rocks, perpendicular to the sea. Certainly, the least spoiled and most beautiful part of the coast is the western side, where Poecylia is located not far from the lighthouse of Capo Sandalo, Italy's furthest west lighthouse.
The picturesque community of Carloforte is about 10 km away from the resort and offers all main services, like supermarkets, a variety of shops, good restaurants, bars and narrow streets and a promenade to ramble around. During the year there are numerous festivals. The most famous one is the tuna fishing festival which takes place at the end of May.
The Detox Hotel
The Poecylia resort is the result of a careful renovation of traditional buildings, now furnished with wooden objects and decorated with colorful draperies which create a cosy and welcoming atmosphere.Because of its location, away from turistic turbulences, it is the right place for relaxing in all quiteness and enjoying the surrounding unspoilt nature.
A continental breakfast will be served as a buffet until noon in the open sea-view living room. Smaller living rooms with comfortable sofas are at guests disposition for reading and relaxing.
The resort charming double rooms and a suite, with its two rooms (without door) suitable also for families: Each room, charmingly furnished with wooden furniture and colorful draperies, has its private bathroom with shower and opens on a small terrace surrounded by the marvellous vegetation which embraces the house.
Detox requirements
- To encourage a return to a more simple life, at Poecylia many of the usual modern comforts are missing: inside the rooms there is no TV, no mini-fridge, no air conditioning.

It is possible to rent exclusively a part of the rooms (4 + 4 rooms) or the whole property with 8 rooms in exlusive with kitchen use, laundry area, gardens and parking lots etc.Change of linen and sheets is done every 7 nights. House cleaning is done every 3 days.

- The last part of the road which leads to the resort is a dirt track: We recommend to drive very careful!
