The sea-view Villa Pergola is situated on a slope in a panoramic position near a long and sandy beach on the south-western tip of Sardinia, about 90 km to the north-west of Cagliari, the capital of the island.
The villa is surrounded by a fenced and spacious garden with Mediterranean vegetation and is reached via the last meters of a gravel path.
The detached villa has one entrance on the 1st floor. The living room provides a well-equipped kitchenette with dining area and open fireside. On a ceiling can be added an additional single bed. An internal staircase gives access to the 2 bedrooms (each with a matrimonial bed), and the 2 bathrooms. One of the bathrooms is en suite, and has a shower, while the other, more spacious one is equipped with a bath tub.
In addition there are 2 bedrooms, one at the front side and one at the back side of the villa. Each of these bedrooms has a separate entrance and an ensuite bathroom with shower.
On the ground floor there is an additional living unit with 1 kitchen with dining area, 2 bedrooms with matrimonial beds and 2 bathrooms with shower. Each bedroom and the kitchen have separate entrances and are accessible from the covered and spacious terrace.

The nearest locality is Portixeddu, located directly on the long and sandy beach of San Nicolao. Other villages are Buggeru and Fluminimaggiore, 5 km and 10 km away, respectively. Here are all basic services available, such as shops and markets, bars, restaurants, banks and much more.
The region of the Sulcis-Iglesiente offers a fascinating coast stretch with long sandy beaches (like Porto Paglia at Gonnesa and San Nicolao), extended sandy dunes and steep cliffs, abandoned mines and an unspoilt and hilly landscape.
We recommend to take the coast road from Portixeddu to Gonnesa with its view of the off-shore rock Pan di Zucchero and to make a stop-over at Nebidda to walk the sea-view loop road. In addition one can visit some of the mines with guided tours, for example Santa Barbara near Gonnesa or the mining museum at Carbonia, and explore the charming islands of San Pietro (by ferry boat from Porto Vesme or Calasetta) and of Sant Antioco (by car).
