The high and picturesque village of Bitti in the province of Nuoro, located in the north-eastern interior of Sardinia, stands out for its historic sites. The nuraghic village Su Romanzesu and the holy fountain temple Su Tiempesu are just one example.
The region is also very well known for good food. Here, for example, the Pecorino cheese and Caprino cheese , as well as the tasty Salsiccia and fine Sardinian wines.
