Lanusei in brief – tourist information and more

Lanusei on the east coast of Sardinia is not only the birthplace of Goffredo Mameli (the composer of the Italian anthem), but also one of the Città delle Ciliegie (City of Cherries). There is an important event at the end of June that you should not miss.

In the city center, you will find the well-known Cattedrale di Santa Maria Maddalena. And on Monte Armidda you can visit the Caliumi Observatory.

The railway station of Lanusei makes part of the Trenino Verde (small green train) train network, a tourist service that allows the nature-loving tourist to visit suggestive and uncontaminated areas in the central part of the islands.
