This cycle tour begins in the south-western tip of Sardinia, on the Sant’Antioco peninsula, which is connected to the mother island by a dam. Sant’Antioco is after all the 4th largest island in Italy and offers beautiful sandy bays as well as great steep cliffs, a Mediterranean landscape and also interesting archaeological sights from the prehistoric Nuragic period. The main towns are Sant’Antioco in the west and Calasetta in the north.
The smaller neighboring island of San Pietro with the picturesque town of Carloforte can be reached from Calasetta in a good 30 minutes by ferry.
On this tour you will get to know the place Sant’Anna Arresi and of course the great sandy beaches of Chia, which are among the most beautiful in Sardinia.
The final destination is Pula, a charming little town on the south coast and near Cagliari with a pretty center and nice shops and restaurants. We recommend a visit to the ancient city of Nora, which is located directly on the sea.
Private transfer or independent arrival in Sant’Antioco. Overnight in Sant’Antioco.
After breakfast, drive from the hotel to the child-friendly Maladroxia beach, known for its turquoise waters. Alternatively, you can also take the ferry from Calasetta to the neighboring island of San Pietro, visit Carloforte, in whose restaurants you can eat excellent fish and especially tuna, and explore the nearby lagoon lakes with their pink flamingos. Overnight in Sant’Antioco.
Today you leave Sant’Antioco and drive through vineyards and along olive trees and fields and enjoy the tranquility of the rolling plains of the Sulcis. In Tratalias, visit the pretty little Pisan church and then drive to Sant’Anna Arresi. Overnight in Sant’Anna Arresi.
A breathtaking drive along the beautiful south coast, the Costa del Sud, with its gleaming white beaches, the untouched natural landscape and the imposing cliffs: Cape Malfatano with its tower from the 16th century and Capo Spartivento. And some of the most beautiful beaches in southern Sardinia await you in Chia. Overnight in Chia.
Spend your day exploring Chia’s famous beaches: Cala Cipolla, Su Giudeu and Campana. Overnight in Chia.
