DAY 1
Individual arrival in
Olbia or Alghero (the tour is reversed upon arrival in Alghero). From Olbia, depending on your arrival time, you will first head south along the coast, past the offshore
islands of Tavolara and Molara, which are part of the Tavolara-Punta Coda Cavallo Marine Protected Area, then via
Posada and along the coast to Dorgali.
Overnight at an agriturismo.
About 100 km
DAY 2
After breakfast we visit the
fascinating Grotte di Ispinigoli and the Serra Orrios archaeological site.
Alternatively, you can book with supplement a boat trip along the fascinating coast from Cala Gonone. On this excursion, you can admire, among other things, the
Grotte del Bue Marino (the Monk Seal Cave) and beaches and coves that can only be reached by sea.
Afterwards, we visit Orosei, a pretty town that invites you to stroll and is known for its sandy beach at Marina di Orosei.

DAY 3
After breakfast, we head into the island's interior to Nuoro, the provincial capital perched on a mountain and considered the gateway to Barbagia. Worth seeing here are the
modern art museum Museo d'Arte Provincia di Nuoro, or MAN for short, which features interesting changing exhibitions and a collection of Sardinian artists from the 18th and 19th centuries, and the Museo delle Costumi near the cathedral, which displays beautiful Sardinian costumes and traditional dress.
We continue west via Oroteli and Macomer to
Bosa, which lies on the Temo River and is dominated by the ruins of the 12th-century Castello Malaspina.
A winding road leads from Bosa to
Alghero which impresses with its numerous medieval monuments and its well-preserved fortifications, including the city walls

DAY 4
After breakfast, explore Alghero and its most beautiful sights, including the
Coral Museum, the Archaeological Museum, the Palmavera Nuraghe, the Anghelu Ruju Necropolis, and, of course, the famous Neptune's Grotto (Grotta di Nettuno), located on the characteristic Capo Caccia cliff in the
Porto Conte Nature Park. The cave is reached via a staircase carved into the rock face, with just over 650 steps. Those who wish can also take a boat to the grotto from the port in Alghero (with supplement).
In the afternoon we recommend a visit to a nearby wine cellar where red wines made from Cannonau and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are aged in barriques, or simply take a relaxing stroll through the town.

DAY 5
After breakfast, we head north via Sassari to
Castelsardo, with its beautiful old town with its many winding and narrow streets, perched high on a cliff and dominating the new town. The town's museum, the
Museo dell'Intreccio Mediterraneo, displays exhibits of traditional basket weaving, including baskets and bowls, as well as small boats.
After a visit to the rugged
Costa Paradiso, the journey continues along winding roads through a magnificent landscape into the island's interior to
Tempio Pausania. The small town, with its houses featuring characteristic gray granite facades, lies at the foot of Monte Limbara. The roads to Tempio Pausania partially lead through dense cork oak forests: no wonder, since Tempio is the center of the Sardinian cork industry.

DAY 6
After breakfast, we'll drive towards
