The position
The family-run farm Sa Mandra with swimming pool is located in north-western Sardinia, not far from Alghero, the charming town with its Catalan influences.The sea is about 13 km away and we recommend nearby and from north to south the beautiful sandy beaches of Porto Ferro, Migoni, Le Bombarde and Maria Pia.
Surrounded by nature, this charming farmhouse with comfortable rooms and an excellent restaurant is perfect for a weekend or a longer holiday to discover sights such as the Grotta di Nettuno, the Nuraghe of Palmavera, Stintino and the Asinara National Park.

Sa Mandra offers also a detached house which is about 10 m from the main edifice.
The "villetta" features a covered veranda and inside a living room with air-conditioning, TV and kitchenette, 2 bedrooms (one with queen-size bed and one with twin beds) and 1 bathroom with bathtub and washing machine.
The restaurant
The restaurant of the Agriturismo Sa Mandra is considered a real culinary institution in Sardinia.There are air-conditioned halls for various occasions and, weather permitting, dinner is also served in the pleasant courtyard.
The menu with dishes from the traditional Barbagia cuisine is mainly prepared with regional and seasonal products from organic and sustainable farms.
When booking half-board, a varied menu is served in the evening, which changes every day.
Tasting & didactics
The Agriturismo Sa Mandra is a educational farm in Sardinia for young and old: here children and young people can collect herbs, bake bread or watch cheese being made, among other things.Cooking courses with traditional Sardinian dishes and cheese tasting (Pecorino Sardo) are offered for adults.
The cheese tasting, lasting 2 hours and with a minimum of 6 participants, includes the tasting of different cheeses accompanied by Vermentino and Cannonau wines, Carasau bread drizzled with delicious olive oil and ham.
