What is Tree Camping?

Tree Camping, also known as Tree Sleeping or Tree Tent Camping, is the latest trend in nature camping and is suitable for couples, groups of friends, families with children and anyone who loves contact with nature.

Tree camping is where tents are hung between trees in the middle of largely unspoilt nature.

Sleeping between trees is a dream we have all had since childhood: sleeping in tents hanging from trees is a special way of being part of the surrounding nature and helps us to relax and forget the stress of everyday life.

The location

We offer you a tree-camping in the south-east of Sardinia, in the area of Villaputzu: the municipality extends over 180 square kilometres of wild and unspoilt nature.

The tree-camping site is sheltered from the wind near a small forest. The tents are hung between the trees and not far away there is a place with wooden tables and benches, a barbecue and a small wooden house with a bathroom with shower.

Tree camping isn't just about adventure and fulfilling a childhood dream, it's also about relaxation and good food.

The staff will make you feel at home: you will relive the beauty of communal dinners as in the past and enjoy Sardinian delicacies, from wild boar and local sausages to a wide variety of goat's and sheep's cheeses. Vegan and vegetarian dishes are also available on request.

Lunch and dinner are served in the old sheepfold, which was once used as a shepherd's hut and is now the base and main room for organising all the communal meals.

The tents and the service

• We offer this experience to small groups of up to 16 people, sleeping in 6 tents for 2-4 people.
• For couples looking for something special, we recommend the tent on an aluminium frame, on the edge of the plateau, with a breathtaking view of the sea and an enchanting starry sky at night: it couldn't be more romantic!

Our proposals

Tree Camping experience with jeep, quad and kayak, 3 nights / 4 days

First day
Quad bike transfer from the meeting point to Tree Camping
Welcome with Prosecco by the fireplace, aperitif and traditional Sardinian dinner in the sheepfold (includes: mixed hors d'oeuvres (cold meats, olives, cheese), roast suckling pig, grilled vegetables, seasonal fruit, Sardinian desserts, coffee, digestifs, water, wine, beer included).
Overnight in a tent in the woods.

Second day
Breakfast with fresh and local products, trekking to the waterfall of Su Strumpu de Pardis (or Su Fossu de Su Para - depending on the amount of water available).
The first part of the trip to the waterfall is by quad bike. The second part is on foot (moderate trekking).
Return to the Tree Camping site, aperitif (dry sausage, cheese, olives, grilled sausage, bread, beer, wine, water, coffee, digestifs).
Traditional Sardinian dinner in the sheepfold and overnight in a tent in the woods.

Third day
Breakfast with fresh local products.
Transfer by quad bike to the meeting point. Change of vehicles and transfer by jeep to the river landing stage. Kayak excursion with packed lunch on the beach.
Return by kayak and trek with a visit to Quirra Castle.
Transfer to Tree Camping site, traditional Sardinian dinner in the sheepfold and overnight in a tent in the forest.

Fourth day
Breakfast with fresh local products, return to the meeting point by jeep.
