Situated in the north of Sardinia on the island of La Maddalena, the three comfortable and charmingly furnished Mongiardino apartments offer sea views and plenty of outdoor space.

The location

The Mongiardino holiday homes are located in the north-east of Sardinia on La Maddalena, the main island of the archipelago of the same name, with beautiful views of the sea and the nearby island of Caprera.

The sea is a good 750 metres away as the crow flies.

The main town of La Maddalena is 2km away and offers shops, supermarkets, banks, pharmacies, bars and restaurants.

The archipelago, which covers an area of 50 square kilometres and has a coastline of at least 180 kilometres, is made up of around 60 islands of varying sizes, of which only the main island, La Maddalena, is inhabited; other well-known islands include Budelli, Razzoli, Santa Maria, Spargi and, of course, Caprera, where the Italian national hero Giuseppe Garibaldi lived until his death in 1882.

The islands can be visited by boat almost all year round.

On La Maddalena there is the Mineralogical Museum, the Dolphin Research Centre, the Naval Museum and the Nino Lamboglia Ship Museum, while on Caprera, which can be easily reached by car from La Maddalena via a motorable causeway, there is the Compendio Garibaldino Museum.

The main island of La Maddalena can be reached by ferry from the town of Palau.

The holiday homes

Immersed in a Mediterranean landscape and surrounded by manicured lawns, the three lodgings are the result of a loving restoration of an early 20th century country house.

There are two buildings in the park, the main house with the two suites Clotilde and Maria, and a little further away the suite Teresa.

Each suite has a furnished veranda facing the sea, a living room with a modern kitchenette, dining table and chairs and a sofa bed, a bedroom and 1 or 2 bathrooms with shower.


Suite Clotilde

The large living room has a fireplace and a very modern kitchen and dining area.
The master bedroom has direct access to the veranda.
The modern bathroom has a beautiful floor shower.

Suite Maria

Also located in the main building, this suite is adjacent to the Clotilde Suite.
