The location

Residenza Mordini is located in the north-east of Sardinia, in the main town of the island of La Maddalena, just a stone's throw from Piazza Umberto I and about 100 metres from the port where the ferries to Palau leave.

La Maddalena is the largest of the 60 or so islands and islets that make up the La Maddalena National Park.

The island can be reached from Palau with regular daily car ferry services.

La Maddalena, the only island with an inhabited centre, is connected to the island of Caprera (where Guiseppe Garibaldi lived for 26 years) by the Moneta Pass. There is a museum dedicated to Garibaldi and the period he spent on the island.

From Maddalena it is possible to visit other islands of indescribable beauty, such as Santo Stefano to the south, Razzoli and Santa Maria, or the famous Rosa beach on the island of Budelli.

The beaches of Punta Tegge, Cala Lunga and Monti d'Arena are also worth a visit.

The port of Golfo Aranci is about 54 km away, while Olbia, with its port and airport, is about 50 km away.

The Boutique Hotel

The charming Hotel Residenza Mordini is the result of a loving renovation and features fine antique furniture combined with contemporary design elements.

The renovation has favoured ecologically sustainable materials: water-based resins and bamboo floors.

The original floors, which are different in each room, blend in with the modern parquet flooring like antique carpets and suggest the predominant colour of the interior.

This double room can become a comfortable quadruple room thanks to the sofa bed that converts into a bunk bed (maximum load of the upper bed 120 kg).

Connected Double Rooms / Suite
The double rooms have a double bed and an ensuite bathroom with shower and can be connected by a door to create a more spacious suite.

The Ivory Suite (approx. 60-70 m2)
Suitable for 4/5 people, it consists of a large master bedroom with double bed, single bed and spacious bathroom, a living room with 2 sofa beds that can be converted into a comfortable standard double bed or 2 single beds, a kitchenette with induction hob and microwave, dining table and chairs, and a second accessible bathroom.
