The position
The recently opened hostel MuMA is located in the south west of Sardinia in Sant'Antioco, directly on the promenade by the sea.
Sant'Antioco is still relatively unknown as a holiday destination in Sardinia and offers beautiful beaches and everything for activity and educational holidays.
The hostel
The accommodation offers comfortable rooms with breakfast, a bar, a common room, a courtyard and a corner shop (wines, food and traditional handicrafts).
The hostel has two floors, which are connected by a lift and stairs.
On the ground floor there is a bar (you can sit outside in the courtyard even in warm temperatures), the breakfast room and the common room.
There are a total of 32 spacious rooms on two floors, which are decorated with traditional textiles and comfortably furnished.
8 of these are handicapped accessible rooms.
Guests can choose between 16 double rooms (10 of them with sea-views), 6 triple rooms and 10 quadruple rooms (with a Queen size bed and a single bed or bunk beds) for families and friends.
Each room has its own bathroom with shower and toilet, air-conditionng and Internet access
Breakfast
Breakfast is served as a buffet ( in summer also in the court yard). Cakes, muffins and pies are prepared every morning and honey, jams and yoghurts are produced in Sardinia.

Museum MuMA
The museum for " Museum of the Sea and Shipwrights " (in Italian: Museo del Mare e dei Maestri d'Ascia - MuMA), which also gives the hostel its name, is dedicated to the history of the Ax Masters, who have been designing, building and repairing boats in Sardinia for years.
The exhibition is an experiential journey that illustrates the lagoon, the Shipwrights and signaling at sea (lighthouses, traffic lights and lookout towers) through images, videos and texts.
