Pittulongu in brief – travel information and more
Pittulongu is the beach resort of Olbia in the north-east of Sardinia and on the half-way between Olbia and Golfo Aranci. Olbia with its 51.00 inhabitants is the co-capital of the Province Olbia Tempio (the other capital Tempio-Pausania is situated more inland). Piitilongu is about 9 km away from the harbor of Olbia and from the international airport Costa Smeralda.
The beach and the sea of Pittilongu have the classic Costa Smeralda features: a beautiful white sand and gorgeous sea water colors changing from emerald green, light blue and dark blue in the deeper areas. The most famous Costa Smeralda resorts are easily reachable by car.
Nearby there are a lot of possibilities to organize excursions (also by boat with lunch on board), to visit fascinating places such as the island of Tavolara (sea park declared by the UNESCO as a world heritage site) and to discover the Sardinian history, culture and food-wine tradition.
