Tempio Pausania in brief – information and more

The small town of Tempio Pausania makes part of the Gallura region and is located in the hilly inland in the north-east of Sardinia. Together with Olbia it is one of the capitals of the province of Olbia-Tempio. Olbia with its international airport and ferry harbor in the east and Palau in the north are about 45 km away.

The charming historical centre of Tempio Pausania is characterized by traditional stone houses. Tempio how it is called in short by the local people has over 14.000 inhabitants and is surrounded by beautiful cork oak woods, no wonder that it becomes the main centre of the Sardinian cork industry.
