Muravera in brief – tourist information and more

The town of Muravera, with just under 5,000 inhabitants, is located on the southern eastern coast of Sardinia and is surrounded by orchards that grow, among other things, the region’s famous citrus fruits. The savory and fragrant oranges, tangerines and lemons are known and appreciated for their juicy pulp and sweetness. No wonder that in April in Muravera every year a three-day festival of lemon fruits, the Sagra degli agrumi, is celebrated! In the surroundings of Muravera you can find some of the characteristic prehistoric Nuraghic settlements and the southern Stagno di Colostrai, a fish-rich lagoon lake.

The coast with the most famous beaches such as S. Giovanni, Saline and Colostrai is about 5 km away.
