Fordongianus in brief – tourist information and more

Fordongianus is located in the inland of the western coast of Sardinia and approximately 25 km away from the town of Oristano, the capital of the Province of Oristano. Cagliari in the south and Alghero in the nord are both 115 km away. The nearest sandy beach is at a distance of 35 km and can be reached easily by car.

The comune of Fordongianus has about 1.000 inhabitants, and was called in former times Forum Trajani in honor of the Roman emperor Trajan. Of main interest nowadays are the ruins of a roman bridge and the archeological site of well-preserved hot springs which can be visit. Nearby some years ago a modern hot spring was built which invites to relaxing stays.
