Sa Pedrera is a nice 3 star hotel on the west coast near Cabras and not far away from the sea and a suitable accommodation for activity and bike holidays.
The position
The Hotel Sa Pedrera is situated on the west coast about 3.000 m from the sea in the middle of the biggest protected marine area of Italy: the "Peninsula of Sinis-Island of Mal di Ventre".Nearby the hotel there are the marvelous and famous beaches of quartz sand, which form is similar to rice, like Is Arutas, Mari Ermi and Maimoni.
The hotel
The Hotel Sa Pedrera has a charming position and is surrounded by Mediterranean plants and well-kept lawns.The architecture of the buildings reminds of the ancient "casa coloniale campidanese" with elegant but simple lines.
The hotels offers a restaurant, a bar, a nice garden with different sitting areas, and just a few steps away from the hotel the Club House and two tennis courts.
The rooms
The 14 rooms are furnished with simplicity.Guests can choose between Standard and Superior rooms.
The Superior rooms are more spacioius and have an external sitting area with table and seats.

The restaurant
The cuisine of the restaurant offers dishes of the local gastronomy with recipes from the fishermen's world.The "burrida of razza" made in the cabrarese way, the "merca", typical dish made with the lagoon "muggine" fish, the bottarga, the fregola with local clams, the otziadas.

Some kilometers away from Cabras are situated the ruins of the Phoenician-Punic city of Tharros Nature-lovers shall visit the park of Seu with its typical flora and fauna of the Mediterranean.In Oristano, the main city of this district, during the Carnival takes place the famous Sartiglia. It originates from a Saracen military competition, probably discovered by the Christian knights during the second crusade and brought to Europe in the 12th century.
Another import feast of the region is the barefooted race in San Salvatore between the end of August and the first Sunday of September.
